Party Animals go Stereophonic

I had the pleasure of doing a party a party for 2 girls called Misty and Xanthe in Fulham recently.

To my surprise, Misty’s dad was Kelly Jones, the owner of one of the finest voices in the music world, lead singer and guitarist of the awesome band Stereophonics and a really nice fella.

Yes, that’s right, the third worldwide birth of a panda cub this year makes it official - it’s a panda baby boom! A rare event for the endangered species, as a healthy male cub was born in a Belgian zoo at the beginning of this month. So rare in fact that there are only 2000 giant pandas left in the wild - I have just been itching to share the news…

The art of camouflage

Different kinds of animals use different kinds of biology to change their colouration: in some cases it is gradual and in keeping with the seasons, whilst other animals have evolved to change their colour in a split second and without a moment's hesitation. I find this absolutely fascinating and often marvel at the art of what is essentially camouflage.

Being a Shrewsbury lad born and bred, and a lover of animals, I would be lying if I said I wasn't totally in awe and inspired by the work of the great Charles Darwin! I often find myself pondering the processes of evolution and how it is truly a natural and wonderful thing.

Traditionally, when people think of pet animals, they somewhat stereotypically imagine cats, dogs, rabbits or even pet birds, but there are also a variety of exotic animals that can make for rewarding, companions.
